Dacia, the Romanian brand that belongs to the Renault Group, can offer the feeling of driving something different. The main target of the company is to transform sustainable mobility into something accessible to all the persons in the world. Dacia is one of the companies that defy the economical crisis and, more than that, whose sales have increased. The Duster Detour Concept has just been presented at the Johannesburg International Motor Show.
The concept car is the brave attempt of the Renault-Dacia group to mix a little Mad Max, a touch of the Terminator and a sprinkling of Dakar dust ‘n dirt. The Duster Detour represents an alter ego of the recently introduced Duster SUV lineup. The ride height has been increased and the SUV is painted in a two-tone colour scheme, made of pearl yellow and matte grey paint. This way the tinted windows and black pillar masks perfectly match the whole style of the SUV. The manufacturer has also widened the wheel arches so that they can now host the 18 inch bespoke alloy wheels wearing all terrain rubbers.
The Duster Detour Concept is equipped with a custom front grille that wears a Renault diamond logo and includes updated headlamp clusters and daytime running lights. This is a car that will certainly be noticed on road. It features “Duster” graphics on the sides and at the back there is a roof-mounted spoiler and black LED taillights. The producer also placed a double exhaust system which includes a silencer and a diffuser. The Detour warns us that it’s time for tough, so you’d better take attitude!
