Dacia, the Romanian brand that belongs to the Renault Group, can offer the feeling of driving something different. The main target of the company is to transform sustainable mobility into something accessible to all the persons in the world. Dacia is one of the companies that defy the economical crisis and, more than that, whose sales have increased. The new 2014 Dacia Duster facelift has been introduced at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show in September. Now, Renault, the mother-company has just revealed the Renault Duster facelift.
The Renault Duster facelift is nothing else but the same Dacia Duster that you are already familiar with. The most obvious change that occurs in the vehicle is the Renault badge that replaces the Dacia one. There is also a small update in the front grille, which features a dual-slat arrangement, replacing the regular Dacia honeycomb patter.
The Renault Duster also borrows the engine from its Romanian relative. The SUV is powered by the same 1.2-liter TCe gasoline turbocharged four-cylinder engine. The powering unit produces 125 HP (92 kW) which are sent to the front wheels or both axles via a 6-speed manual transmission. In this configuration, the Duster facelift has a fuel consumption of 6 liters / 100 km (39.2 mpg US or 47 mpg UK). What still remains of high interest is the price, which will most likely be kept low enough as to confirm the brand’s strategy.
