Renault Fluence Sedan

Today French carmaker Renault revealed for the first time the Renault Fluence sedan for the European customers. To be more precise, we are talking about a facelift version of the Fluence sedan which will be introduced at the 2012 Istanbul Motor Show that takes place now in Turkey. The model developed for the Mexican market received the same specifications as the Korean Samsung SM3. It received the same front end treatment. When it comes to the model prepared for the European customers and maybe others, the engineers have borrowed different styling elements from the new Renault Clio Mk4.

For the new model we can see that the carmaker prepared a newly designed front bumper which incorporates LED daytime running lights. The specialists have also modified the end of the car, the rear tail lamp clusters and added new alloy wheel options for the ones that always want more. In terms of interior, the cabin received fresh upholsteries and Bluetooth audio systems equipped with USB and jack sockets. The models with higher ends will also get the new Renault R-Link multimedia system that comes with a touch screen display, but also voice commands.

In terms of power train, the new 2013 Renault Fluence sedan will be available with a new 1.6-liter petrol engine capable of generating 115 PS which is coupled with a new X-Tronic CVT automatic transmission to send the output to the wheels. The fuel consumption was improved reaching 6.4 liters / 100 km and the CO2 emission level reaches 149 g/km, decreasing by 15%. Beside the 1.6-liter petrol, engineers also offer the previously available diesel dCi capable of producing 110 PS with EDC. There are different markets where the carmaker also offered the new dCi 130 PS units that use 5.6 liters of fuel per 100 km and have a 119 g/km CO2 emission level. The specialists will continue building the new model in Turkey and local sales are scheduled to begin in January. Also next year the model will be also offered for another 55 markets.
