Renault Megane Sport Red Bull Racing RB8

Renault’s most important aim is to make sustainable mobility accessible to all the persons in the world. And this goal couldn’t be better illustrated by anything else except by the brand’s motto that is to drive the change. The French company is constantly developing new ideas. One of them is the Renault Megane Sport Red Bull Racing RB8 edition.

The Renault Megane Sport Red Bull Racing RB8 edition was created as a special edition meant to celebrate Red Bull’s 2012 Formula 1 Constructor’s championship. Red Bull Racing is one of the two Formula 1 teams that together with the Toro Rosso team are governed by the Austrian company Red Bull. The vehicle is covered with Twilight Blue paint and has Red Bull Racing graphics on the sides and at the rear. The back lip spoiler, door mirror housings, door handles and F1 blade all have a Platinum Grey colour. There is also a monochrome laurel on the rear side windows and the cabin is decorated with Red Bull Racing badges. The car sits on a set of 19 inch black Steev Bridgestone wheels with platinum rims.

The Renault Megane Sport Red Bull Racing RB8 edition model is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine which produces 265 bhp (197 kW) with other elements borrowed from the Megane Renaultsport 265 Cup, some of them being the stiffer springs, dampers, limited-slip differential, anti-roll bar and Brembo calipers with grooved discs.  The car features an R-Link multimedia tablet and Renaultsport Monitor 2.0 that has a GPS tracked lap timing included, and also a 3D-form displayed info, more user-friendly interface and possibility to save information on a USB memory stick. There is also a real time access to 0-62 mph times, power output data, G-force diagram. Renault is preparing 30 models that will be delivered in the U.K. starting June 2013. And if Red Bull gives you wings, why shouldn’t the Renault Megane Sport Red Bull Racing RB8 edition do it, too?
