French carmaker Renault has developed the new EV supermini Zoe, a model that has a starting price of GBP13.650 in the UK excluding the Plug-in Car Grant deduction. The ones interesting in owning one of these models are free to place an order now. The carmaker informed us that the model will be available in showrooms starting June 7. Besides the price mentioned above, the customers will also have to pay for the battery lease, starting from GBP70. So that you know, starting April 5, the base price of the model will increase to GBP13.995, which means around EUR16.450. The new Zoe has a range of 130 miles, but the carmaker admits that in real conditions and in suburban use, the car will offer a driving range of 60 miles in cold weather and 90 miles in warm conditions. It receives power a synchronous electric motor capable of generating 87 horsepower and 220 Nm of torque. This output enables the Renault Zoe to reach a top speed of 84 mph.

So that you know, the model is available in 3 trim levels: Expression, Dynamique Zen and Dynamique Intens. The last two mentioned have a starting price of GBP14.750, but starting April 7, the price will increase to GBP15.195. In the base trim, the model will feature 15-inch Aerobase wheel trims, a 4x20W radio with USB input, jack, SD multimedia and Bluetooth and so on. Dynamique Zen and Intens include 16-inch wheels, climate control activation, remote battery charging, auto lights and wipers, leather steering wheel, rear parking sensors and electric rear windows. As standard, the new Renault Zoe features the Chameleon charger which is in fact compatible with all power levels from 2kW up to 43 kW. If you use a Rapid Charger 43 kW AC power source, the batteries can be charged 80 % in 30 minutes. In case you want to charge the batteries completely, it might take up to 9 hours.
