Saab Aero

Beijing Auto offered us the chance to see a new high-performance model that apparently has as base the previous generation Saab 9-5 Aero. The new model is also called Shenbao D-Series Aero and it features very visible grille which has LED-infused headlights. Saab Aero is the pinnacle of the dynamic performance of a strong debut at the Auto Shanghai China brand. It is not really a surprise the fact that many of the top brand cars of the world feature the ultimate technical performance version of the model like for example Mercedes-Benz, BMW M and the German Volkswagen Golf GTI. The former Aero Edition models success has earned the technical performance of the Hall of Fame. Saab is now moving on, with this new model revealed at the 2013 edition of the Shanghai Auto Show. It seems that Beijing Motor has invited the 4th WRC champion, Tommy Makinen to the event. The new model is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 6.0 seconds. The models that fallow are the BMW 740, Mercedes-Benz SLK and Audi S5.

According to the carmaker, the new Saab Aero is capable of generating 257 kW and up to 500 Nm of torque which brings it very close to the power of the Ferrari 458. Together with the lightweight chassis and servo-steering wheel, the model offers incredible driving experience. Under the hood, the car hides a 2.3-liter turbo engine capable of generating great power. The new Saab Aero is a special performance version of the model, but even so, the overall style remains consistent production car with Saab. The engineers have offered dynamic and sharp beltline creating a visual impact. The C-Pillars sustain the decline arc of the roof to create a heavy, but very real dynamic rear. The drag coefficient of the Saab Aero is as low as 0.28. This manages to reduce wind noise while maintaining high-speed travel. These are all the information we have managed to gather for the moment.
