Spanish carmaker Seat has developed the production version of the 2013 Seat Ibiza CUPRA. This is actually following the concept version which has been revealed in April. Its starting price was established at GBP18.825. According to the specialists, the new 2013 model will be available for the British customers starting January next year. The rest of Europe will also receive it next year, but a bit later.
Under the hood, the new 2013 Seat Ibiza CUPRA features a 1.4-liter TSI gasoline unit capable of generating 180 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque. All the output is being transferred to the wheels through a 7-speed DSG twin-clutch automatic transmission. The engineers have also offered a sound actuator for the exhaust system for a sportier soundtrack. The power produced enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 6.9 seconds and to reach a top speed of 142 mph. The transmission offers a fuel consumption of 47.9 mpg. Because of the high power, the Spanish specialists have lowered the ride of the car in comparison with the standard version and the handle the extra horsepower, the engineers have installed an AR Performance braking kit, which you can get as optional. To improve handling during fast corners and to lower the tendency to under steer Seat specialists have provided an XDS electronic differential lock. To transfer the output to the road, the new 2013 Seat Ibiza CUPRA features exclusive 17-inch alloy wheels. This is not all. The specialists have also offered ESP with hill start assist with the package.
In terms of design, as you can see from the photo gallery, the new model features black gloss side mirrors, LED headlights and taillights and inside the cabin we can observe new sport steering wheel, shift paddles and sport seats.
