You have to be pretty good to survive in the changing world of auto tuning. Many of the tuning companies manage to do that because they specialize on certain brands and they aim only the fans of those brands. So is the JE Design. The German tuning firm is involved in the development and the distribution of vehicle tuning parts for Volkswagen, Audi and Seat. More specifically, the staff there focuses on the car styling and on improving aerodynamics according to some special methods. The latest tuning pack coming from them is for the Seat Leon FR.
The Seat Leon FR features carbon fiber elements such as a front spoiler, side skirts and a rear bumper insert. The vehicle is equipped with a tailgate-mounted spoiler, a stainless steel sports exhaust system and lowering springs that bring the car closer to ground by 30mm. There's also a KW coilover suspension available and the client can choose from a variety of 18 and 19 inch alloy wheels.
After the specialists at JE Design have finished their work, the Seat’s 1.8-liter TSI engine can generate 215 HP (158 kW) and 300 Nm (221 lb-ft) of torque, this meaning an increase of 35 HP (25 kW) and 50 Nm (36 lb-ft). This power boost offers the car the chance to sprint the 0-100 km/h in 6.9 seconds and hit a top speed of 235 km/h (146 mph). And just to make an idea about the project, the stock model does the same distance in 7.5 seconds, reaching a top speed of 226 km/h (140 mph). JE Design offers the entire performance boost for 1,990 Euro including VAT and twelve month warranty.
