Skoda Rapid StylePlus

When you think of the Czech Republic, one of the first words that might come into your mind is Skoda. One of the most wanted Skoda branded vehicles is the Skoda Rapid. And now, in a simply clever way, home in Mlada Boleslav, the officials have just introduced the Skoda Rapid StylePlus, an upgraded version of the production model Rapid.

The Skoda Rapid StylePlus is a special edition based on the Ambition range, completed by various design, comfort and functional elements.  In terms of design, the vehicle has a plus in style. It features some glossy black finish touches on the rear spoiler, exterior mirrors and the bars on the doors and bumpers. The same black theme, but this time combined with silver, is carried on the wheels, too. The car sits on a set of 17 inch Ray alloy wheels. The StypePlus comes in different paint schemes, so the client can choose from Denim Blue, Corrida Red, Sprint Yellow and Candy White. On request, the Rapid version can be equipped with xenon headlights and front fog lights having cornering function.

When it comes to the interior, we also find black as colour theme. The new seats, the leather covered steering wheel, the piano lacquer finish, the black dashboard inserts and the stainless steel pedals give the car a superiority shade. Leather is also found on the handbrake and gear stick. As a client’s option, the standard radio or CD player can be taken out and they can be replaced with an Amundsen satellite navigation with DAB radio support.

As Skoda got us used too, the brand’s cars come equipped with various engine configurations, and the Skoda Rapid StylePlus is no exception. The car is powered by a 1.2 MPI engine outputting 73 bhp (55 kW), a 1.2 TSI providing 84 bhp (63 kW) or 103 bhp (77 kW), as well as a 1.4 TSI delivering 120 bhp (90 kW). The diesel is represented by the 1.6 TDI generating 88 bhp (66 kW) or 103 bhp (77 kW). So, on the whole this Skoda is a simply clever car, too, perfectly illustrating the ingeniousness of the Czech producer.
