New details on the new Smart concept have been released. In the photo gallery you have the chance to see what we are talking about. The model is a concept version of the Fourjoy model and according to Daimler, the four seat model is the forerunner of a new Smart generation. Chances are we will see a ForFour after this one. The study model, as you can see, has no doors, or rear window, has an open roof and the interior looks quite futuristic. The new model will be 3.494 mm long, 1.978 mm wide and 1.494 mm tall.
These are the proportions available for the model that will soon be launched. The specialists have offered different cues like the pronounced polished aluminum tridion safety cell and it also has shorter overhangs. The wings can be found on the four most outer points and there are a lot of other elements available. At the front it has LED headlights and honey-combe grille and the rectangular-shaped LED taillights can be found in the tridion cell, just like the first generation Smart ForTwo. The interior of the car contains two sculptural seats colored in white and a rear bench as well. The instrument panel support offers the impression of depth, while the design of the spherical instrument cluster and the single-spoke steering wheel remind of the original Smart.
You should also know that the new concept comes with two smart phone mounted on the dashboard and also on the center tunnel at the rear for connectivity and entertainment for all the passengers inside. It will receive power from a magneto-electric motor positioned at the rear capable of generating 55 kW and it has as base the ForTwo Electric Drive. There is also a 17.6 kWh lithium-ion battery that is fully charged in 7 hours at a household socket or charging station. These are all the details available for now, so please check out the photo gallery we have prepared for you.
