Many suppositions were released recently according to which, electric vehicles might take over the gasoline and diesel ones. If EVs want to stand a chance, they will have to impress the heart of the customers, but will also have to impress them with an incredible look. Until now, no signs have been shown, well of course except Tesla Model S, which looks quite good so far. Why do you think this is? We think carmakers only think about making technology affordable and as efficient as possible, but forget about the other important aspect, the looks. Small automakers have to make interesting electric vehicles, leaving the task of mass popularization to the establishment. Let us take for example, the EPIC EV and their new TORQ Roadster.
To be more precise, this model is a modern interpretation of the Morgan Three-Wheeler layout which actually has zero tailpipe emissions. This vehicle is so light it could get a motorbike engine normally. It does not because electric motors produce great amounts of instant power and torque. moving on, in case you do not know, the model has only three wheels and carbon fiber body panes, polycarbonate windscreen, specially made chassis and suspension system courtesy of Palatov Motorsports. The TORQ Roadster is capable of generating 400 horsepower and 600 lb. ft. of torque which are being transferred to the rear wheels. This amount of power enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in four seconds. Apparently approximately 50 units will see the light of the day this year and the carmaker plans to ramp up production stating next year. There are no official information on the price yet, but do not go very far for this.
