Not long ago, Qoros automotive brand was formed and it is now offering us fresh details on its participation at the Geneva Motor Show that will take place at the beginning of March and where a lot of carmaker will present their achievements. We have already heard of the Qoros GQ3 compact saloon, but now, the new carmaker will also introduce two new concepts called the Cross Hybrid Concept and Estate Concept. So that you know, all have as base the sedan variant. Thanks to the intelligent modular vehicle platform technology, the engineers are now able to develop new vehicle concepts very fast and in a very effective way. This is what Volker Steinwascher, Vice Chairman of Qoros Auto declared. Apparently, the new Qoros GQ3 will stand at the base of a big family that will be developed fast and effective very soon thanks to this platform and the technology the engineers use. The two concepts mentioned were developed by Chery Automobile Co. and Israeli investment firm Israel Corp. in 2007 and are for a crossover hatchback and a station wagon edition all for the Qoros GQ3 series.
According to the manufacturer, the Cross Hybrid Concept comes with a petrol engine that handles the front wheels, but also features an electric motor that handles the rear wheels. Both power plants are being controlled by an electronic system that allows for all-wheel drive. Moving on, we have the Estate Concept that features a regular drive train. The interior space is generous and versatile as it provides a high number of alternative seating and luggage compartment options. The carmaker will build all models in China. The sedan version of the GQ3 will be available in its home market in the second half of this year. The first cars will be delivered in Europe before the end of this year.
