Not long ago, Subaru manufacturer has introduced the new Forester and now, time has come to see it in action. We will now try to tell you more on the Subaru Forester XT Turbo equipped with a CVT. In terms of ride, we can see some improvements and the impact damping was the main element followed.
When it comes to its interior, the new Forester XT Turbo seems to be quite roomy, just like the Legacy / Outback and it has great useful rear legroom. Thanks to the extra space, the new model is placed ahead of the XV. The dashboard received a treatment that improved it. Now, the best things are the dashboard mounted readouts. The model tested featured Eyesight as standard and we can all admit this is a great accessory that can be easily be confused with paint spills. The bad part about the new Subaru Forester XT Turbo refers to its styling elements. There is no problem if we look at the models covered in darker tones, these do not look too bad, but the off-white car appears to be way too busy in the gum shield like front bumper zone. If we take a very careful look from the rear and side-on, we can totally tell we are talking about a Forester and, of course, this is not something to complaint about, but probably it will be better to try a charcoal or even darker color, just in case.
According to the manufacturer, the new Subaru Forester will be available in different showrooms in New Zeeland starting February next year. The engine options include a direct injected 2.5-liter and a 2.0-liter turbo. Also next year, the carmaker also plans of introducing the 2.0-liter turbo diesel version, but a bit later in 2013.
