This week at the Geneva Motor Show a lot of carmaker seem to feel like home. We will now turn our attention towards the Subaru Viziv Concept, a new model developed and revealed yesterday for all the curious spectators. The crossover concept represents the new design direction and technologies that will transfer Subaru into the future.
From the outside we can see a model that provides high efficiency and performance on all road surfaces conditions and driving environments. The model has been developed considering the Subaru design philosophy, so the basic design features simple and clean surfaces and lines. The large grille provides the keynote of the front-end design and is the point from which the entire front end connects into a solid, dynamic design. At the back we can see the same motifs used for the front.
The interior the car also promises dynamic road performance and was designed to embody the renewed functionality, peace of mind and fun for all occupants. Inside the cockpit there is an instrument panel layout designed primarily for ease of driver operation and vehicle control. The tachometer and speedometer in the center combine functionality and sportiness and feature a special cylindrical design and outstanding visibility. The rear wheels eliminate the need for a propeller shaft, creating a lower floor that offers ample legroom for rear seat occupants despite its compact size. The new Subaru Viziv Concept comes with an independent-rear-motor-driven symmetrical AWD system for a next step forward into the future. It also has two motors exclusively developed for rear wheel drive controls, the division of drive power between the front and rear wheels. These are all the information available on the future model for the moment, but you can find out more soon on their official web site.
