Toyota Aqua Air Concept in Tokyo

Japanese carmaker Toyota has been working really hard these last few months and in only a few days we will all find out why. Until then, we have managed to put our hands on several details the specialists have mentioned. At the 2013 edition of the Tokyo Motor Show, Toyota will introduce the new Aqua Air concept and then you will have the opportunity to tell us what you think about it. Just a week ago, the Japanese carmaker has revealed its lineup, but as far as we remember, they did not say a word about the Aqua Air concept, so it came as a surprise. Apparently, the new model will have the same hybrid power train similar to the one Aqua G Sports has. This is an Atkinson-cycle 1.5-liter gasoline engine equipped with an electric motor and a CVT transmission as well.

Thanks to this unit, the model is capable of generating a combined output of 100 horsepower. The fuel consumption will reach 2.82 liters per 100 km. As this is a B-segment product which measures 157 inches in length and 66.5 inches in width and 56.7 inches in height. The engineers have mentioned that the wheelbase is 100.4 inches. To be really honest, we think you can agree when we say that the new Toyota Aqua Air concept looks a lot better than the model mentioned above, the Aqua G Sports. The new concept can also be a preview for a compact roadster, but we will see about that a bit later on. At the auto show that will take place next week, the Japanese manufacturer will also show in Tokyo the Cross, which will also be presented in a concept form, but no specifications are available at the moment.
