Volkswagen Amarok

A few months ago, German carmaker Volkswagen announced the 2013 version of the Amarok. To be more precise, this happened in August. Now, the new model can be ordered by the UK customers. The specialists have established a starting price if GBP23.536 for the basic version. This receives power from a 2.0-liter TDI engine capable of developing 120 horsepower. It also features 4MITION. The top of the range is powered by a 2.0-litter BiTDI 4MOTION Permanent unit that features BlueMotion Technology capable of generating 178 horsepower. To transfer the output to the wheels, the engineers have offered an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The price for this incredible version was established at GBP31.098. According to the carmaker all 2013 VW Amarok models for the UK and the rest of Europe will be built in Germany at the Hanover factory and not in Argentina as expected.

The German engineers introduced the BlueMotion Technology package on the improved truck and also offered rolling resistance tires, Stop / Start and regenerative braking. This last one is perfect for improved fuel economy and lower CO2 emission level. Under the hood the Amarok hides a 2.0-liter BiTDI engine capable of generating 178 horsepower, as mentioned above. The standard model can only produce 161 horsepower. If it were to combine the 2.0-liter turbo diesel with the BlueMotion package, the 178 horsepower model is capable of a 3.9 % fuel economy in comparison with the previous model.

The CO2 emission level drops by 10 g/km reaching 199 g/km. The 2013 VW Amarok also uses 19-inch alloy wheels to transfer the output to the road. In terms of technology, the engineers have also offered front and rear parking sensors, Bluetooth, cornering fog lights and a lot more. This is all the information available on the new model.
