Volkswagen Amarok R Style Concept

Worthersee is a very famous lake in the Austrian Alps, well known for the amazing sights but also for the largest Volkswagen and Audi car show in Europe. The show is held every May since 1981. For this year’s event, Volkswagen has prepared many interesting vehicles to present to the public. One of these is the Volkswagen Amarok R Style Concept.

The Volkswagen Amarok R- Style Concept is imagined as a sportier version of the base Amarok model. It is powered by a V6 3.0-liter TDI engine generating 272 HP (200 kW) and 600 Nm (442 lb-ft) of torque. This heart is connected to an eight speed automatic gearbox. The pick-up is expected to go from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 7.9 seconds. The car rides on a set of 22 inch alloy wheels wrapped in 295/35 performance rubbers and has been equipped with 60mm wider fenders to make room for the larger rims. A carbon diffuser, three big air intakes below the front bumper, sill extensions with integrated carbon plates, and two chromed tailpipes at the back were set on the Amarok in order to increase aerodynamics. So far this is it with the exterior elements.

Regarding the interior, the main theme is centered around the black, red and white colors. Some race bucket seats, a carbon fiber dashboard and a sport steering wheel contribute to the already mentioned sportier look. Of course the technology has plenty of room inside, so an eight inch touch screen and a nice subwoofer are a must have. What the Volkswagen cars fans need to do now is to wait a little bit longer and see how the concept will look in reality.
