Volkswagen Amarok UK Edition

Volkswagen, the German brand, is one of the world’s leading automobile manufacturers and the largest car maker in Europe. In 2012, VW increased the number of vehicles delivered to customers to 9.276 million (while in 2011 it was 8.265 million), this corresponding to a 12.8 percent share of the world passenger car market. The company has developed centers and services in the entire world, including the U.K. And the British market is exactly the place they are aiming for with the release of a Volkswagen Amarok special edition.

The Volkswagen Amarok destined for the U.K. will consist of 300 car units. It has as basis the Trendline variant and owns some coloured wheel arches and bumpers. Some of the features of this limited edition are the black styling bars across the load area, black side step, special edition decals and rear privacy glass. The vehicle rides on a set of 18 inch Durban alloys. Other noticeable elements are the front/rear parking sensors, some new interior floor mats, protective coating for the load area, and as a cherry on top, it has a five-inch touchscreen display sporting sat-nav and Bluetooth system.

The Volkswagen Amarok is powered by a 2.0-liter BiTDI engine that generates 180 HP (132 kW) and 420 Nm (319 lb-ft) of torque which will be plenty for a maximum towing capacity of 3,200 kg (7,054 lbs). The engine can be linked to a six-speed manual gearbox with selectable 4MOTION or it can be connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission with permanent 4MOTION. The truck comes either in Deep Black paint or in a Reflex Silver one. The special edition will enter sale in July and the price starts from 22,495 GBP (excluding VAT) for the manual model and from 24,225 GBP (without VAT) for the automatic version.
