The Volkswagen Beetle is no ordinary vehicle. It is probably the most famous symbol of the Volkswagen brand, which, by the time it appeared back in 1945, shook the world with its futuristic and unique look. And it pretty much remains a special car. Neither is MR Car Design a common name in the auto field. It is a great German tuning company. What do the two names have in common besides that they both come from Germany? Well, a tuning package designed by MR Car Design for the new Volkswagen Beetle.
The most spectacular thing about this tuning package for the Volkswagen Beetle is a fully electronic air suspension made by G-Ride. It is placed on both axles and it can be manipulated only by a remote control. Of course there is the option that it remains automatic, without adjusting it. MR Car Design equipped the small car with a set of 19 inch multi-spoke alloy wheels wrapped in 225/35 R19 rubbers. However, the tuner has plenty of other alloys to offer, depending on the client’s desire.
The guys working at MR Car Design also applied an upgrade to the engine. The 2.0 liter TDI engine can now generate 210 HP (154 kW) and 420 Nm (310 lb-ft). The tricks played on the engine come together with a lifetime warranty. The Beetle also gets a new exhaust system which benefits of a five to ten year warranty. So the retro but modern Beetle should most likely turn out to be a success for the tuning company.
