The Volkswagen Caddy turns 30 and for this occasion, the German manufacturer has decided to offer a VW Caddy Edition 30 for the British customers. The stylish and desirable special edition van will be built as a limited edition and so, only 117 units will see the light of the day. The exterior cues follow the design cues of other sporty VW vans. It has a black roof and roof rails contrasting against Caddy White paintwork. It also has body-colored bumpers, door handles and door mirrors and chrome grille detailing. To transfer the output to the road, the engineers have offered 17-inch Budapest alloy wheels. We will see the Edition 30 logo on the door sills and exterior.
In terms of equipment, the engineers have provided climatic air conditioning, Bluetooth connectivity, leather steering wheel and also electric windows. The list continues with an improved RCD 310 radio / CD unit, electric windows, heated and electrically adjustable door mirrors and front fog lights. We will also have the opportunity to see tailgate with heated rear window. As standard, the new Volkswagen Caddy Edition 30 will get superior Timo upholstery as standard. The units equipped with DSG transmission will come with Alcantara leather upholstery.
Under the hood the model will features a 2.0-liter TDI engine capable of generating 140 PS. This actually enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in only 10 seconds. The fuel consumption on a combined cycle is of 47.1 mpg and the CO2 emission level reaches 158 g/km. The ones interested in purchasing one of the models should know they are available in Volkswagen Van Center showrooms. The starting retail price was established at GBP17.660 for the models equipped with manual transmissions and at GBP19.060 for the ones equipped with the DSG unit.
