Volkswagen Golf VI R by Alpha-N Performance

We now return to Volkswagen and their present and future plans. Just recently we found out that the German specialists have received an upgrade package for the 6-th generation Volkswagen Golf R. This package comes from Alpha-N Performance Company which has been working hard to finish it in time for the release. Just as expected, they did not work alone, but the tuner joined forces with Ohlins and have developed specially made Road & Track chassis which was matched with lightweight OZ Racing Ultraleggera HLT alloys.

These in particular came with a race gold finish and are also covered in 235 / 30 R20 tires. Moving on, we also have to mention a kit that includes the following elements: sports air filter system, an EVOX chip tuning box, and also a stainless steel exhaust system. At the end of the process the new Volkswagen Golf VI R was equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine capable of generating 330 horsepower. Honestly, we are talking about around a 60 horsepower hike in comparison to the standard model, which is quite impressive.

To transfer all the output to the road, the engineers have offered a DSG transmission for all four wheels. What this gearbox actually does is that enables the car to be faster and to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 5.5 seconds. For those of you interested in performance, know that the car masses without spring suspension directly influence driving dynamics. This is why the carmaker recommends to be kept as low as possible. These are all the details in the new German model, at the moment, but please take a look in the photo gallery and let us know what you think.
