Volkswagen Phaeton US Version

As it turns out, German carmaker Volkswagen has released the Phaeton for the North American customers thanks to the CEO of the company. Different rumors have declared that there are chances to see an all-new Phaeton soon. According to them, the German carmaker plans to introduce it as a concept at the 2014 edition of the Detroit Motor show that will take place in January. The model was actually discontinued 7 years ago and it is now returning for the ones interested in owning the flagship sedan. It has been discontinued due to weak sales, but now it is back. Of course the model will play the role of a halo car and will complement the launch of the new Volkswagen SUVs for the US market.

It is a bit risky and this is why the company needs a halo project in the upscale segment, or at leas this what VW CEO Martin Winterkorn delacred at the beginning of this month. This is how we know that the Phaeton will return to the US dealership. The brands that do not have these types of projects, the carmakers have a lot to suffer because of failed projects. So far, the model had two facelifts, one n 2007 and one in 2010. Because we are talking about the advanced stage of age of the model, sales have decreased a lot, reducing the volume targeted by VW in half. We are absolutely sure that the Germans now have a better plan, for sure. We will have some more details on the matter soon and we will keep you in touch.
