Volkswagen Touareg R-Line

Finally, German carmaker Volkswagen decided to expand the range of its Touareg SUV in Britain. How exactly? The specialists have added a new R-line trim that has as base the Altitude. There is more to it. The Germans have declared that the new R-Line will add a lot of extra equipment elements and several styling cues that cost more than GBP4.000, for a premium of GBP750. Everything sounds great, but let us see exactly what this means.

For the exterior, the engineers have offered 20-inch alloy wheels to send the output to the road, which are covered in 275 / 45 R20 tires for the R-Line. The list does not stop here, of course. The model also got new front and rear bumpers, plus side skirts. Also as standard, the new model will get Bi-xenon headlights with dynamic curve lighting and LED daytime running lights and LED tail lights. For the interior, the engineers have provided R-Line sill plates and also a full-length panoramic electric sliding glass sun roof offered as standard.

This is all for this, now moving on to the rest of the Touareg models, the R-Line will receive as standard leather seats, 2Zone climate control, a Stop / Start system, battery regeneration, a satellite navigation and audio system that comes with 8-inch full-color touch screen. To transfer the output to the wheels, the specialists have offered an 8-speed transmission that is paired to the 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine. The unit is capable of generating 201 horsepower. This variant will cost GBP44.025. The model equipped with the engine capable of producing 242 horsepower will cost GBP45.645.

Beside the release of the R-Line trim, the carmaker also plans to lower the prices across the CC range. Now the base version costs GBP24.050, price that might decrease by at least GBP470.
