Volkswagen is one of the most competitive automobile manufacturers in the world and certainly the largest car manufacturer in Europe, having a great number of models under its signature. In 2012, VW increased the number of vehicles delivered to customers to 9.276 million (while in 2011 it was 8.265 million), this corresponding to a 12.8 percent share of the world passenger car market. The company is well represented in the entire world through its centers and car dealers. The center for the United Kingdom will offer special editions of the Volkswagen Groove Up! and Volkswagen Rock Up!
The Volkswagen Groove Up! is a hatchback which comes in three or five doors variants. It possesses heated front seats, a leather covering for the steering wheel, a Fender audio system and a Maps & More infotainment system. The vehicle is also equipped with gloss black mirrors, tinted windows and rides on a set of 16 inch alloy wheels.
The Volkswagen Rock Up! will be introduced only as a three door hatchback. The vehicle is equipped with a front spoiler, revised side skirts, a rear diffuser and a tailgate-mounted spoiler. It also has air conditioning, heated front seats, a six speaker audio system and a Maps & More infotainment system.
Both of the UP!s are power sourced by a 1.0-liter three-cylinder petrol engine that develops 75 HP (55 kW) and 95 Nm (70 lb-ft) of torque. It is mated with a five speed manual transmission which allows the Up! vehicles to have 60.1 mpg UK (4.7 L/100km / 50 mpg US) with CO2 emissions of 108 g/km. Deliveries will begin in July and the Groove is priced between £11,640 and £12,015. The Rock model costs around £12,980. British fans of loud music, great looking small cars and questionable puns will have a treat this summer, with the selling of the two new special editions of Volkswagen up!
