We now have fresh info on the new 2014 Acura RDX. According to the carmaker the model has a starting price of $34.520 not including the $895 destination charge. Especially for the 2013 model year, the model has been redesigned and so it had received a new engine, new transmission and an all-wheel drive system. Actually ALG annual Residual Value Awards ranked the RDX as the highest in the Premium Compact Utility Vehicle segment. Now, for the 2014 model year, Acura provided a new Kona Coffee exterior paint that replaces the Amber Brownstone that was covering the vehicle before. Under the hood, the new Acura RDX hides a 3.5-liter V6 engine capable of generating 273 horsepower. This output is being sent to the wheels through a 6-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system, just like we have mentioned above. This last one is available as an option and costs another $1.400.
On the outside the model has Amplitude Reactive Dampers and also a motion adaptive electronic power steering system. For the interior, the carmaker offered interesting materials, utility and great use of noise insulation. Some of the standard elements are: heated power front seats, a power moon-roof, a 360-watt audio system and leather seating surfaces. The 2014 model is produced only at the plant in Ohio, East Liberty. Here is also where 4 Honda plants are ranked among the top 5-rated assembly lines in the US. As we have mentioned before, the model has a starting price of $34.520. The 2014 RDX with Technology Package costs $38.220 and the AWD Acura RDX will cost $35.920. This is all for the moment folks, but do not go very far as more info are about to reach the surface.
