Honda has recently revealed pricing and equipment on several models for the next years. The 2014 Acura TL will start at $36,030 (36,925 including destination). Prices would rather send the Acura into a premium compact category, however the Acura TL offers space along with advanced technology features and distinct looks.
Speaking about the exterior, the designers have tried to fine tune this line to get it as close to perfection as possible – classy, but soft; sporty but with a powerful appearance. At a first glance, the front end has got a strong look to it, and it is embellished with new LED lights. The base TL will come with 17-inch alloy wheels, and the rest of the line-up wil come with 18-inch, with the possibility of an upgrade to 19.
The entry-level comes with leather-trimmed sport seats, an eight-speaker Dolby Pro Logic II sound system, USB interface with iPod integration, and Bluetooth hands free smartphone connectivity.
The Acura TL buyers will have to choose from: a base front-wheel drive car with a 3.5-liter V6 (280 HP / 254 lb-ft of torque) and an up-level all-wheel drive model with a more powerful 3.7-liter V6 (305 HP / 273 lb-ft of torque). Both engines are based on Honda's Variable Valve Timing and Electronic Lift Control (VTEC) technology.
Acura brand currently consists of seven models: Acura TSX, RDX, ILX, ZDX, MDX, RL and RLX. All these models are equipped with the latest technical features and overall, their popularity is increasing year by year. As for the 2014 Acura TL, there will be eight variants of the TL with the two specified different engine options, two gearbox choices and either front or all-wheel drive; quite some variety for luxury-car shoppers. The 2014 Acura TL is built in Honda’s Marysville, Ohio plant.
