Alfa Romeo 4C Concept

Geneva International Motor Show is the guest of one of the most expected cars, the Alfa Romeo 4C Concept. The Italian brand worked on a compact supercar which represents the true essence of a sports car, according to the brand's values: performance, Italian style and technical excellence aimed at maximum driving pleasure in total safety.

Undoubtedly, the Alfa Romeo 4C Concept is leading the top of the most beautiful vehicles exhibited at Geneva these days. As a general feeling, we might say that the 4C Concept has about the same design as the coupe version. Still, it is distinguished and turned into something special by a canvas soft top and carbon fiber rollover bars. The windscreen frame and the spoilers are also manufactured from the same lightweight material. Although the top has been added, the vehicle got only 60 extra kg (132 lbs).

The concept car showcased in Geneva is equipped with a central dual exhaust system with titanium and carbon tailpipes as well as an electrically-operated valve system that improves not both the car's performances and its soundtrack. Another thing to be noticed is the attractive carbon fiber clamshell headlights, together with restyled alloys shod in Pirelli rubbers.

The Alfa Romeo 4C Concept is powered by the 1.75-liter four-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine that develops 240 HP (177 kW) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft. It is linked to the rear wheels through a dual-clutch 6-speed TCT gearbox that allows the concept to reach 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.5 seconds before reaching the maximum speed of 155 mph (250 km/h). The concept is supposed to enter production in the spring of 2015.
