Italian carmaker Alfa Romeo has decided to offer several changes for the 2014 model year, Giulietta. The highlight of the moment refers to the addition of a new 2.0-liter JTDM 2 turbo diesel engine capable of generating 150 horsepower and 380 Nm of torque. The engineers have also offered the second generation MultiJet injection system which uses a small turbocharger capable of delivering the highest torque in the segment if we are talking about revs like 380 Nm at 750 rpm. Moving on, we also have to mention the 3rd generation Common Rail injection system that, in fact, complies with the Euro 5+ standard.
The new model has received light styling tweaks. Here we can mention restyled front grille, chrome-placed frame of fog-lights and to transfer the output to the wheels, the model uses 16- 17- and 18-inch wheels. The exterior colors available for the model are Bronze, Anodizzato and Moonlight Pearl so that you can select your favorite one. The new model will be released with new seats; door panels, steering wheel and handles, but it will also have different inserts on the center console and dashboard. If we are talking about the Quadrifoglio Verde version, well, the specialists have offered new sports seats upholstered in black leather or Alcantara which will come with electro welded logo and contrasting stitching on the backrest.
The luggage compartment was equipped with a specific black trim and on the left side of the steering wheel it has a storage compartment, but also an upper glove compartment on the dashboard. In terms of technology, we have to mention that the 2014 Giulietta comes with the Uconnect multimedia device which is available with a 5- or 6.5-inch touch screen. The owner will have access to voice commands and navigation system. We will have more details on the model after the official release that will take place at the 2013 edition of the Frankfurt Motor Show this week.
