The 2014 Aston Martin Vanquish was tested by one specialist and left him with a bad taste. The model receives power from a 6.0-liter V12 engine which apparently was having problems with speeding more than 130 mph, but in the end managed to reach 183 mph. The engine is capable of generating 565 horsepower and 457 lb. ft. of torque and to transfer all this output to the rear wheels, the engineers have equipped the car with a 6-speed automatic transmission. This enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds. The carmaker has decided to revise the Vanquish and it arrived as a 2014 model. The engineers have started by providing an all-aluminum monocoque chassis that has been upgraded several times in the past. Aston Martin declared that the new structure is lighter and 25 % more rigid and a more then 75 % of the parts are new. This structure we are talking about is a perfect platform for the adaptive independent suspension. To handle the extra power, the British specialists have offered brakes with carbon-ceramic discs with six-piston calipers shared with the One-77 supercar of the carmaker in the front and 4-piston calipers in the rear.
To transfer the output to the road, the new Aston Martin Vanquish comes with 20-inch alloy wheels covered in next-generation Pirelli P-Zero tires that measure 255 / 35 ZR 20 on the front axle and 305 / 30 ZR 20 on the rear one. The carmaker has established a starting price of $279.995. The model is offered in both 2+0 and 2+2 configurations.
In terms of technology, the model receives full power accessories, heated seats, Garmin-based navigation, iPod connectivity, A2DP Bluetooth integration, Wi-Fi Hub5 and a lot more all as standard. According to the specialist driving the model, the primary controls like for example the steering, throttle and brake, require a firm hand for actuation. These are some of the information received as a result of the test drive.
