When it comes to engine technology, aerodynamics, sports wheels, exhaust systems, suspension or brakes, ABT Sportsline is the real thing. The wishing for a constant improvement, for setting new goals and winning, makes the tuning company one of the most reliable in the world. The truest friends of the firm are the Audi and VW brands whose cars they try to reinvent. The last program ABT has launched is the upgrade pack for the Audi A8.
The tuning program for the Audi A8 brings some novelties such as an electronic lowering module which brings the full-size executive sedan closer to ground by 25mm front and rear, as well as reworked side skirts and new exhaust finishers. There are also new alloy wheel sets varying in sizes from 18 to 21 inches having either gun metal, silver bullet or mystic black finish.
The Audi A8 also received engine upgrades. The 4.0 TFSI engine has been upgraded from 435 HP (320 kW) and 600 Nm (442 lb-ft) to 540 HP (397 kW) and 720 Nm (531 lb-ft). The 3.0 TDI can also benefit of a power increase from 258 HP (190 kW) and 580 Nm (428 lb-ft) to 300 HP (221 kW) and 640 Nm (472 lb-ft). Of course that the 4.2 TDI engine with its standard 385 HP (283 kW) and 850 Nm (627 lb-ft) hasn’t been forgotten. The final figure takes us to 430 HP (316 kW) and 920 Nm (678 lb-ft) of torque. Here we have an amazing tuning program for an amazing vehicle.
