When it comes to engine technology, aerodynamics, sports wheels, exhaust systems, suspension or brakes, ABT Sportsline is the real thing. Wishing for a constant improvement, for setting new goals and winning makes the tuning company one of the most reliable in the world. The truest friends of the firm are the Audi and VW brands whose cars they try to reinvent. The last program ABT has launched is the upgrade pack for the 2014 Audi R8 V10.
The 2014 Audi R8 V10 is the first in the Audi fleet that changed the race track for the road. The Audi is a true athlete and ABT gave it some energizers. The tuning brand modified the engine. If the regular Audi R8 V10 the 5.2-liter FSI V10 engine generated 525 HP (386 kW) and 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque, the upgraded version of the same engine now is capable of producing 600 HP (441 kW) and 550 Nm (405 lb-ft) of torque. The tuned Audi R8 needs only 3.5 seconds to sprint from stand point to 62 mph (0-100 km/h). It can go up to a top speed of 199 mph (320 km/h).
The engine of the 2014 Audi R8 V10 is not the only one that suffered modifications. ABT Sportsline equipped the vehicle with new suspension springs and coilovers. It has also added some carbon fiber exterior elements that help reduce he vehicle’s weight. The car features a new front skirt and grille, side skirts, rear wing and rear skirt. The R8 has been fitted with a custom exhaust system made from stainless steel. It rides on a set of 19 inch alloys dressed in 235/35 R19 front and 305/30 R19 rear rubbers.
The Audi R8 V10 by ABT Sportsline is sporty and powerful, assertive and superior, down to the very last of the details. All these characteristics make it a winner among cars and we can say that ABT Sportsline did a quite nice job tuning the car.
