BMW ALPINA B4 Bi-Turbo at the Geneva Motor Show

To keep company to the BMW 435i Coupe-based Alpina B4 Bi-Turbo unveiled for the first time at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show in October, we have a hardtop convertible version which will be revealed in premiere at the upcoming Geneva Auto Show. The new B4 Bi-Turbo Cabrio comes with similar parts first seen with the coupe edition. Here we have to mention the 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged six capable of generating 404 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque, which means it is up from 306 PS and 400 Nm of torque. Because of the extra weight the retractable roof brings, the model is a bit slower than its sibling. This means it is callable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and to reach a top speed of 301 km/h.

The coupe on the other hand it is capable of doing this in 4.2 seconds and reach 305 km/h. To transfer the output to the road, the engineers have offered 20-inch wheels covered in 245/30R20 tires on the front axle and 265/30 on the rear one. It also comes with pin stripes, front apron and specially made interior leather together with trim accents. The German carmaker has announced the fact that the ones interested in the Alpina B4 Bi-Turbo Cabrio will have the opportunity to take it for a test drive this spring and even buy it if it is really convincing. So that you know, the starting price has been established to start at EUR74.800. This means it will be around EUR6000 more expensive than the Coupe version.
