BMW CLR X5 RS by Lumma Design

If there is a brand that benefits of the tuning companies’ attention that certainly is BMW. The German cars have always been challenges for both the experienced and the beginners in the tuning field. The 2014 BMW X5 hasn’t been officially presented yet. However this hasn’t stopped the guys at Lumma Design to create a tuning package that works with the crossover. It received the name BMW CLR X5 RS.

The 2014 BMW X5 is a redesigned crossover that has evolutionary styling which makes it instantly recognizable. It will have its debut in November. A few months later, in March, Lumma Design’s BMW CLR X5 RS will be available for sale. The tuned model has a widebody kit that contains an aggressive front bumper, revised side skirts and extended wheel arches. It also gets a sportier feeling with the help of a rear bumper that hosts a four tailpipe sports exhaust system. The vehicle rides on a set of 23 inch alloy wheels and it is also equipped with a rear spoiler and a ventilated hood.

The BMW CLR X5 RS can be customized by Lumma Design with premium leather upholstery, carbon fiber trim, alloy pedals and floor mats wearing the Lumma name. There is no news about the engine configurations, but the BMW X5 will come with three types of engines. One is a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 producing 450 HP (330 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque, the second one is a 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder diesel outputting 258 HP (190 kW) and 560 Nm (413 lb-ft) of torque and the third one is a tri-turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder diesel generating 381 HP (280 kW) and 740 Nm (546 lb-ft) of torque. So it is very probable that Lumma Design will choose one of these three to upgrade. More details are soon to come.
