BMW X5

The new 2014 BMW X5 is finally here. The model is very easy to recognize, and as you can see, the crossover has evolutionary styling which closely mimics the outgoing model. Even so, the new one has a more obvious grille, an aerodynamic front bumper and optional LED adaptive headlights. Moving on, we also have to mention the rear Aero Blades and new Air Curtains that, according to the engineers, will reduce the drag by routing air around the wheel arches.


For the interior, the specialists have used high quality materials and have improved the design. The main elements are the LED ambient lighting, a freestanding iDrive display, gloss black accents and Oxide Silver, Aluminum Hexagon or Poplar Grain wood trim. As optional, the buyer can select comfort / sport seats, a reclining second row and heated / ventilated front seats. The list continues with 4-zone automatic climate control, a third row seat and also a new rear seat entertainment system with two tablet-style displays. The model will also be offered with three different engines.


The BMW X5 xDrive50i will come with a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine capable of generating 450 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque. This output will enable the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.0 seconds and to reach a top speed of 250 km/h. the X5 xDrive30d receives power from a 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo 6-cylinder diesel engine that delivers 258 horsepower and 560 Nm of torque. The car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds and to reach a top speed of 230 km/h. The last option is the X5 M50d that is powered by a 3.0-liter 6-cylinder diesel unit capable of generating 381 horsepower and 740 Nm of torque. The model will run from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds and will reach a top speed of 250 km/h. deliveries will start in the fall.
