BMW X5 and 4-Series Coupe

BMW have informed regarding their intention of adding several new engines and a redesigned Line package to the 2014 X5 and 4- Series Coupe.


The basic version, the 420i is powered by a 2.0 liter Twin Power Turbo four cylinder engine that outputs 184 HP (135 Kw). The car will be available for purchase starting with November. Soon enough, the auto will come with two Twin Power Turbo six cylinder diesel motors. The first engine will develop 258 HP (190 kW) for the 130d. The second engine produces 131 HP (230 kW) for the 435d. The car powered by the latter engine will feature a standard intelligent all wheel drive system BMW xDrive. The all wheel drive system is optional for the BMW 420i Coupe and BMW 420d Coupe.


Regarding the X5, this is also to be equipped with new engines such as:


Depending on the desired tyre format, the BMW sDrive25d has an average fuel consumption of 5.6 – 5.7 liters per 100 Km (50.4-49.6 mpg).


The experience of a safe and comfortable drive is enhanced by fully automatic BMW Parking Assistant and Traffic Jam Assistant. The features will be added starting with December for the BMW 4 Series Coupe and starting with November for the BMW 5 series. In addition to what is already known about the Parking Assistant, the new version also selects the appropriate gear and controls the accelerator and brake pedal.


The 4 Series Coupe can optionally feature a leather wrapped steering wheel, exclusive light- alloy wheels and ambient interior lighting. Starting with December 2013, Pyrite Brown Metallic and Ruby Black Metallic individual finishes will also be available.
