BMW X5 by AC Schnitzer

For 25 years, AC Schnitzer has kept open the door to superior vehicle technology from motorsport for committed BMW and MINI drivers. The tuning company develops custom components which meet the highest standards of perfection and which make the difference from the series production. They have just finished a tuning program for the recently introduced 2014 BMW X5. This will be showcased at the Geneva Motor Show as soon as it opens, in the end of this week.

The BMW X5 has reached the third generation with this 2014 production version, released about a year ago. As BMW branded vehicles are the most tuned cars in the world, it came natural for the X5 to draw the tuners’ attention. Despite this fact, BMW seems to be the tuning mirage. Every respectable tuning company has an upgrading package for a BMW. AC Schnitzer is not on the first attempt of upgrading a BMW vehicle and this time they stopped at the X5 SUV. The company has no less than six power upgrades among which the best are a 430 HP M50d and a 525 HP x50i.

The BMW X5 will come nicely equipped with different alloy wheel designs which have various sizes, from 20 to 22 inches. The vehicle will also be brought closer to the ground by 30mm front and 20mm rear. The tuner also decided to place different tailpipe finishers, modified front skirt, restyled rear apron, bespoke floor mats, an aluminum pedal set and even a custom key holder. But we’ll have more details very soon, as the Geneva Motor Show is about to begin.
