BMW branded vehicles mean perfection for a lot of persons. So in these terms to come up with an update is the ultimate challenge for tuning companies. And speaking about tuning, there are plenty of companies preoccupied by BMW cars. When a BMW is modified you expect the unexpected, something new, or why not something shocking. This time the BMW X5 M has been placed under the magnifier of Fostla tuning.
The first thing Fostla did was to set an anodized matte red body wrap combined with blackened headlights and taillights as well as tinted glass on the BMW X5 M. In addition, the tuner has also offered a glossy black finish on all chrome parts and equipped the car with BMW original 21-inch alloy wheels with low-profile tires. And, unfortunately, this is about all that happened on the inside.
Fostla focused mostly on upgrading the engine of the BMW X5 M. The twin-turbo V8 4.4-liter engine received a stage two power kit created by PP-Performance, as well as an Akrapovic exhaust system. Thanks to these upgrades, output of the engine increased from the serial 555 PS (408 kW) and 680 Nm (502 lb-ft) to 650 PS (478 kW) and a great 900 Nm (664 lb-ft). Considering that the regular variant of the vehicle needs 4.7 seconds to reach 62 mph (100 km/h) before hitting an electronically-limited 155 mph (250 km/h), the upgraded version will certainly have better figures. The cost of the Fostla package is 8,000 EUR.
