The German automaker has presented the X6 M Design Edition to the public for the first time.
There are only 100 unit to be produced as the vehicle was designed targeting the M model fans. On the exterior, the X6 M Design Edition features a matte black grille and a carbon front splitter. Furthermore, the auto comes with an elegant rear diffuser and a carbon fiber rear spoiler. Having a curb weight of 5324 lb, the car rides on 21 inch light allow wheels. The exterior can also optionally feature M Performance stripes.
The interior follows the same sporty attitude as the exterior. The cockpit slightly reclines towards the driver. The vehicle features a leather wrapped steering wheel as well as a leather wrapped dashboard. The dashboard comes in Mugello Red and black. These shades complete the interior`s color palette together with the Piano Black Trim and the two tone Merino seats. The Mugello Red can also be found in the stylish stitching offering a pleasant contrast with the all leather black seats. The manufacturer also included an individually numbered plaque for the crossover.
Under the hood, the BMW X6 M Design Edition is powered by a twin turbo gas V8 engine with a 4.4 liter capacity mated with a 6 Speed Automatic transmission. The output is of 555 HP (408 kW) and develops a 680 Nm (502 lb-ft @ 1500 rpm) peak torque. The vehicle features an all wheel drive drive type.
Regarding the auto's performance, it can go from 0 to 100 Km/ h in 4.7 seconds due to the V8 engine. Also, the car can hit a maximum speed of 250 Km/ h (155 mph). The fuel efficiency conforming to EPA standards is of 12 mpg on a city road and 17 mpg while driving on the highway.
Although there is no information regarding the car`s availability, the price is rumored to start at $93.795 USD.
