Not long ago, Buick Company has released the facelift version of the 2014 Regal for the first time at the New York Auto Show. A few months later, the carmaker has released providing information on the mechanically updated sedan model. In case you live in the US, the model will be available for sale here starting a bit later this year. In case you were wondering, the entry version will receive power from a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four with the GS capable of generating 259 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque.
The price for this particular model will start at $30.615 including the $925 amount for the destination. It is actually capable of delivering more power over the 2013 model year Regal Turbo with about 17 %, so more than 22 horsepower even though it is paired to a 6-speed automatic unit. In terms of fuel consumption there is also a 17 % improvement in the city reaching 21 mpg and 30 mpg on the highway, or at least this is what General Motors declared. There is an AWD version of the Regal Turbo that includes an electronic limited-slip differential that has a starting price of $32.790.
Another option is a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder unit that is equipped with eAssist. This has 36 mpg fuel consumption on the highway and the starting price for this one is $32.485. The top of the range model is the 2014 Buick Regal GS which comes with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four which now generates 259 horsepower, down from 270 horsepower. In terms of torque, it is capable of generating 400 Nm. To transfer the output to the road, the engineers have offered a 6-speed automatic transmission. The fuel consumption reaches 21 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway which represents an 11 % improvement over the 2013 Regal GS on the highway, which is quite impressive.
