Chevrolet Camaro Convertible

Chevrolet has now revealed the new 2014 Camaro Convertible and coupe at the 65th  Frankfurt Motor Show. The manufacturer describes the auto as `the most significant redesign since the introduction of the fifth-generation Camaro as a concept car in 2006.`

The auto is powered by the 6.2L V8 engine working together with a six speed manual or automatic transmission. The manual transmission outputs 432 hp (318 kW) at 5.900 rpm and a torque of 569 Nm at 4.600 rpm. The auto equipped with the automatic transmission features cam phasing (VVT) and active fuel management. The model can get from 0 to 100 Km/ h in 5.4 seconds with the manual transmission and in 5.6 seconds with the six speed automatic one.

The interior features a standard rearview camera and a Chevrolet MyLink radio built around the seven inch touch screen display located in the central stack. Customer can also opt for an integrated, upgradeable navigation system covering all Europe. The Mylink radio enables users to open photo galleries from compatible smartphones.

The unit features a keyless entry and customers can optionally add a remote engine start functionality on the automatic model. The coupe unit can also optionally include leather wrapped Recaro sport seats.

The boosted aerodynamics performance ensures great stability and cooling even when driving at a high speed. The facelifted version features a bigger lower grille and a narrower upper grille together with horizontal lamps and a sculptural deck lid at the rear. A standard spoiler with integral antenna is fitted both on the convertible and the coupe versions.

The Camaro will be available for purchase in Europe toward the end of this year in a selected group of dealerships with prices starting from 39.990 Euros for the coupe and 44.990 Euros for the convertible.
