Chevrolet Silverado

At this 2013 edition of the North American International Auto Show, carmakers Chevrolet and GMC have revealed a new model, the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 full-size pickup and the Sierra as well. We will turn our attention towards the first one which seems to be that strongest and most capable Silverado ever built. Some of the updates for the 2014 model include a new powerful EcoTec3 engines, a stronger, more comfortable cab, revised steering, brakes and suspensions and a lot more. The new 2014 Chevrolet Silverado is part of a three-truck portfolio and so it joins the Silverado 2500 and the 3500 HD pickups. Please know that the carmaker is also developing an all-new Colorado midsize pickup.

The design of the 1500 Silverado is more muscular, more functional and more aerodynamic. It has a twin-port grille, a new bumper and dual power dome hood which create a powerful presence. The front end is meant to improve sealing for more efficient cooling. The inlaid doors reduce wind noise for a quieter cab.

Under the hood it can come with an EcoTec3 engine but also with a V6 and a V8, engineered specifically for use in full-size trucks. The other engine is a new 4.3-liter V6 and last, but not least we have a new 5.3-liter V8 designed for more power, more torque and better efficiency in comparison with the current model. On the inside, the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 has the upright instrument panel, six-gauge instrument cluster and multiple storage options which are tailored specifically to the needs of truck customers. The chassis includes several customer-focused updates. The revised front and rear suspension and wider wheels provide a more comfortable ride and more confident handling. The production process will begin in the second quarter of this year. There is no information on the price.
