Mopar is the tuning division in the Chrysler Company. The last time we heard about a Mopar project was when they tuned the 2015 Chrysler 200. The tuner seems to be very committed and hard-working when it comes to doing a great job in modifying the American branded vehicles. So, they have just finished another project, this time based on the Dodge Dart. The upgraded vehicle had its official debut at the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) Gatornationals this week.
The Dodge Dart was made on a virtual platform, the tuner using production-based technologies and many techniques typically used in the development of the street vehicles. The Mopar project has been submitted to a lot of testing, including the aerodynamic wind tunnel. It even got to have its first test runs at Bradenton Motorsports Park. After all these, the vehicle was declared capable of running in Gainsville in the third national event of NHRA Mello Yello Drag racing season.
As a matter of fact, two Dodge Dart models have been prepared by Mopar and they both have had their debut in the competition this weekend. Moreover, the HEMI- powered Dodge Dart also benefits of the “Magneti Marelli Quality Auto Parts Offered by Mopar” label in order to celebrate the partnership between Mopar and Magneti Marelli. Mopar is quite famous for managing to beat speed and performance barriers so the Darts should face competition anytime.
