The 1500 Rumble Bee concept by Ram has its world wide premiere during Woodward Dream Cruise in Detroit. While at the time, there was no information regarding the auto being headed for production, now there are hints about production.
It seems that the company is looking for feedback from various dealerships. This feedback values a great importance in actually producing the 1500 Rumble Bee. Dave Sowers stated for Edmunds that `We will take it [the Rumble Bee concept] to some dealer shows and talk to dealers.` The decision is still uncertain as Sowers added that it is only something the company would consider after having a positive feedback.
The concept was recently released and is inspired from the 2013 Ram 1500 R/ T. The model comes in a `Drone Yellow ` paint with a matte finish and a `Speed Bee` design on the sides of the truck. The vehicle runs on 24 inch Vellano VRH alloys. The exterior look is completed by a lowered suspension and glossy black finish fuel door, hood vents, badging, front grille and dual exhaust pipes.
In the interior, the 1500 Rumble Bee offers a honeycomb pattern background. The auto features leather seats with either yellow or light black stitching and an amber encased bee positioned into the shifter knob. The concept is powered by HEMI 5.7 liter motor working together with an eight speed automatic transmission outputting 395 bhp (294 Kw) and 407 lb-ft (551 Nm) peak torque.
In spite of such eye catching features provided by the initial concept, it seems that the production model will lack some of them. Dave Sowers informed that the production model will come without the amber encased bee and the `Drone Yellow` matte finish exterior paint. Luckily, Sower`s statements lead us to believe that the production car seems to at least keep the concept`s 5.7 liter HEMI engine.
