Dodge specialists have developed the all-new Ram ProMaster full-size commercial van equipped with front-wheel drive which makes it special in comparison to other models in the category. The new model does not have a traditional body-on-frame chassis and the platform uses A-arms and MacPherson struts on the front axle. To transfer the output to the road, the engineers have used 225 / 75R16 tires for all wheels. To handle the power, the specialists have also offered disc brakes with two-piston calipers.
The van that is already in showrooms has a starting price of $28.630 and it comes equipped with either a gasoline-powered 3.6-liter Pentastar 6-cylinder unit or with a new turbocharged 3.0-liter 4-cylinder diesel one. The first one is capable of generating 280 horsepower and 258 lb. ft. of torque and the second one produces 174 horsepower and 295 lb. ft. of torque. The model will use a traditional 6-speed automatic transmission or a 6-speed automatic single-clutch manual one. This will include the hydraulic linkage to improve fuel economy.
The engineers have offered headlights that are mounted on the nose to limit fended-bender damage. The controls are located in an intuitive place and here we are talking about manual fan speed, temperature control and distribution. Te model comes with large side mirrors and backup camera for more complex maneuvers. Despite the fact that the steering is slow, the van is vey agile and does not seem to be very heavy. In the photo gallery you have prepared for you, you will have the opportunity to see what we are talking about.
