Ferrari 458 Speciale A

Ferrari is the maximum expression of what defines excellence. Excellence found in everything, in technological innovation, performance, visionary styling and the sheer thrill of driving. Ferrari is one of the most wanted or at least the most dreamt of cars. The Ferrari 458 Italia is one of the successful vehicles in the Italian’s brand fleet. The company has just presented a limited edition of the Ferrari 458, called Speciale A (Asperta).

The absolutely fabulous Ferrari 458 Speciale A (Asperta) has just been presented at the Paris Motor Show. It is powered by an uprated naturally aspirated V8 4.5-liter sourced from the fixed roof version. The unit generates 605 HP and 540 Nm. Because of the already mentioned roof mechanism the vehicle has some extra 50 kg, reaching 1,340 kg but this hasn’t affected the car's 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) performance which continues to take three seconds.

The Ferrari 458 Speciale A is considered to be the most aerodynamically efficient Ferrari spider ever. It will come as a limited edition with 499 units to be built. All of them will feature a retractable aluminum hard top which can be opened or closed in 14 seconds. The vehicle will be equipped with five-spoke Grigio Corsa forged wheels. The price is still secret, but considering the fact that the regular 458 costs $298,000, the limited edition should be priced more than that.
