In case you are curious to know, American carmaker Ford has taken the wraps off the new 2014 Ford Mustang Cobra Jet. The specialists managed to offer the latest in racing technology available to day and deliver speed and consistency for NHRA Stock and Super Stock racing. Before launching it, the carmaker made more than four seasons for testing and racing. The model also received a lot of feedback from customers and apparently it is true, it is better than ever with exciting new features, more performance and priced to be the best value in the market.
For the ones interested to know, the 2014 Ford Cobra Jet Mustang is available with new colors Gotta Have-it Green and a Cobra Jet-exclusive flat black. To transfer the output to the wheels, the engineers have offered the all-new 3-speed race transmission with SFI approved housing, but also a parachute mount for racers exceeding 150 mph.
Under the hood, the new 2014 Ford Cobra Jet Mustang hides a 5.0-liter TiVCT engine. Other 2014 features include a lightened body assembly optimized for weight distribution, electric power steering, a roll-cage optimized for rigidity and safety through finite element analysis and Recaro FIA race seats. To obtain the best racing suspension geometry, the engineers had to run a lot of computer modeling and hundreds of ¼ mile runs. Apparently Ford will only build 50 units of the model and each will have exclusive Cobra Jet content and serialized for collectability. The starting price was established at $97.990 plus optional paint and graphics.
The ones interested in owning one of these bad boys should know that they can already place an order at Ford dealers. Availability is first-come, first-serve. The first 50 orders will confirm options in April this year and the production process will begin in July and will last until the end of October.
