Holden Cruze

Holden plans to launch the new 2014 Cruze next month, but until then the specialists have decided to reveal it a bit earlier. The new model will offer better performance thanks to the introduction of the new 1.6-liter turbo engine capable of generating 132 kW. The engineers have now offered front fog-lamps, sports grille, 17-inch alloy wheels and rear park assist as standard. The 2014 Holden Cruze also comes with a reverse camera to help the driver.

The model becomes the first locally built car to go on sale with Holden MyLink, a new premium infotainment system. The 1.6-liter turbo engine is being offered as standard in both Sri and Sri-V sport models replacing the 1.4-liter turbo engine which actually remains an option on the Equipe. The 1.6-liter engine is being paired to a 6-speed manual transmission which is also available with an optional second generation 6-speed automatic transmission with sport mode for the Holden Cruze Sri and Sri-V. The two are available in both 4-door sedan and 5-door hatchback and come with exterior sports front and rear fascias, rockers and spoilers.

The Cruze CDX is being offered in sedan body-style with a 1.8-liter 4-cylinder petrol engine or with a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder diesel engine. Each is mated to a new 2nd generation 6-speed automatic transmission with Active Select. The engineers have provided a comfort suspension tune and 17-inch alloy wheels to transfer the output to the road. Moving on, we have to mention the Equipe entry level model which replaces the CD model. This is available in both 4-door sedan and 5-door hatchback styles. It receives power from a 1.8-liter 4-cylinder petrol engine that uses a 5-speed manual transmission as standard to transfer the output to the wheels. A new color range is offered as well and Rear Park Assist is added as a standard feature across the range.
