We might say that Holden is the national car producer of Australia and it can provide about anything the market requires, from SUVs and trucks to hatchbacks and sedans. The company has in its fleet the HSV GTS which was introduced in 1992. There was no Z Series GTS. Well, the Australian company has just unveiled the limited edition GTS Maloo.
The Holden GTS Maloo closely goes on the same trajectory as the GTS sedan and takes up a more aggressive front fascia with LED daytime running lights and honeycomb mesh grille inserts. The vehicle has also received a remote locking hard tonneau cover, a four-tailpipe exhaust system and a set of 20-inch lightweight alloy wheels. On the inside the model has sport seats, a sport steering wheel and alloy pedals. The car also has auxiliary gauges, faux carbon fiber trim and a MyLink infotainment system with GPS navigation.
The Holden GTS Maloo is powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter LSA V8 engine that generates 585 PS (430 kW) and 740 Nm (546 lb-ft) of torque. It can work linked to either a six-speed manual or an optional six-speed automatic transmission. The Maloo has a sport-tuned suspension, high-performance brakes and a limited slip differential. The GTS Maloo is limited to 250 units, 240 for Australia and 10 for New Zealand.
