Honda Civic Tourer in Frankfurt

Time has come for us to meet the new Honda Civic Tourer which has been developed and even designed on the European continent. Despite its sophisticated profile, the new Civic Tourer continues to be as practical as possible. It is also very functional and is class leading in interior space having a 624 liters capacity. The engineers have offered a new 1.6-liter i-DTEC diesel unit which is the lightest in its class capable of generating 300 Nm of torque. The other option in terms of engine is a 1.8-liter i-VTEC engine equipped with a manual or an automatic transmission. In this format, the model will produce only 148 g of CO2 per 100 km.

For better stability and improved comfort, the carmaker has offered a new Adaptive Damper System for the Civic Tourer in case the load is different and if the road conditions are different as well. The engineers did not stop here. They have also decided to offer new advanced Active Safety elements for improved standard safety. In the end they have managed to develop a car that has the shape and the strength of a sports car. The exterior is sophisticated and sporty and it is defined by a bold line that starts at the A-pillar and goes to the D-pillar which offers the impression of a floating roof line.

Honda has introduced a new suite of sensor based active safety systems that use a combination of cameras, short range Laser Radar and also radar technologies. Well now, these types of technologies will be used by the Honda Civic Tourer and also by the update version of the Civic 5-door model. This is all we have for now folks, but more details are about to emerge, so, do not go very far. In the meantime, please check out the photo gallery below.
