The New York International Show has just opened gates and interesting things show up every second. Taking advantage of the event, the American company Honda presented its new 2014 Honda Odyssey Touring Elite. This car’s previous variant has already won an award for the best family car, and now it will probably take the standards of family vehicles to an upper level.
The big surprise comes with the fact that the new Honda Odyssey Touring Elite is equipped with a HondaVAC system, this being an in-car vacuum cleaner. It is composed of a powerful vacuum, changeable filter and canister bag. It doesn’t need recharging elements because it has an electric motor. And, of course, it can work continuously the same amount of time that the engine is working and an additional time of 8 minutes after the engine stops, too. Modernism in this car also consists of a Hondalink infotainment system which has a seven inch screen, a push button start, Lane Departure Warning and Forward Collision Warning system.
Although Honda states that the new Odyssey is more sophisticated and elegant, changes are relatively very few and subtle. Minimum modifications were brought to the aluminum bonnet, front fenders, twin-bar grille, and the lower fascia which now possesses chrome trim fog lights. The Americans also added some LED taillights bars, modified badges and darker headlight housings.
The engine is most likely a 3.5-liter V6 producing 248 bhp (185 kW). The 2014 Honda Odyssey Touring Elite is yet another proof of how much the company wishes for innovation in the field. And this minivan is the ultimate family car.
